The UIM Super Licence is required for top-tier international racing and confirms a competitor meets the higher set by UIM.
The UIM Super Licence is the highest level of competition licence available in circuit powerboat racing. Issued through the CPA on behalf of the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM), it is required for drivers competing in top-tier international classes such as F1, F2, and F4.
To qualify for a UIM Super Licence, a competitor must already hold suitable CPA licences, complete all mandatory capsule and immersion training where applicable, and meet UIM’s enhanced medical standards. Applicants must also demonstrate sufficient experience and competency in the class they intend to race.
This licence confirms that a driver has achieved the highest safety, medical and regulatory requirements in the sport, allowing them to race at world championship level under full UIM regulations. For many competitors, it represents the final step in the international licensing pathway.
