This Saturday, Stewartby Water Sports Club is opening its doors for a special Discover Sailing Day and youre invited to come and try sailing for free.
This fun, family-friendly event offers the perfect chance to experience the thrill of being out on the water, meet our friendly members, and explore everything the club has to offer.
What to Expect
- Free sailing taster sessions with our experienced volunteers
- A choice of dinghies and catamarans to try
- A friendly introduction to our RYA-affiliated Sailing School
- Complimentary drink and cake at our Drinks and Cakes tent
- The galley and bar open throughout the day for hot and cold refreshments
- A chance to meet the team, ask questions, and see the club in action
There is lots of fun to be had out on the water this summer and our Discover Sailing event is a great way for people to come along and literally dip their toes in the water.

Whether you're completely new or looking to get back into sailing, its a relaxed, informal day just turn up, get involved, and enjoy the atmosphere.
What to Bring
Buoyancy aids are provided. We recommend bringing:
- A towel
- A spare change of clothes
- Old trainers or water shoes you dont mind getting wet
- A wetsuit (optional bring your own)
- A spray top or waterproof jacket (optional handy for our faster boats)
Top Tip
Why not bring a picnic? The grassy space between the clubhouse and the lake is a perfect spot to relax and take in the view while you wait for your session.
