The Sailing Section AGM is your opportunity to have your say on how our Section is run. We encourage all members to attend, catch up with the community, and participate in shaping the upcoming year. The bar and the galley will be open, serving light refreshments throughout the meeting.

You do not need to register in advance to attend, though all attendees will be required to sign in upon arrival.

• Rule Reviews: We will review the current sailing section rules. There is one proposed rule change this year: a clarification that honorary members are not eligible to vote at the section AGM.
• Election of Officers: All current officers (Commodore, Vice-Commodore, Secretary, and Treasurer) must be re-elected annually.
• Committee Elections: Committee members remaining in their roles have agreed to continue and will be voted upon en bloc. Any new committee members co-opted during the year will be individually voted in.

Voting Information & Eligibility

Your voice matters in deciding new officers, committee members, rule suggestions, and any other business raised.

• Eligible to Vote: Each Ordinary Member and Adult Family Member.
• Not Eligible to Vote: Junior Members, Student Members, and Honorary Members (pending formal rule clarification at this AGM).

Proxy Voting:If you are unable to attend the AGM but would still like to vote on the proposed agenda items, you may vote by proxy. Proxy voting forms are now available following the finalisation of the agenda.

• Proxy Deadline: Please ensure your completed proxy form is returned by Sunday, 22nd February 2026 (1 week prior to the meeting).
