Build confidence and gain independence on the water.

The RYA Level 2 course is designed for those who have completed Level 1 or have equivalent experience and are ready to take their sailing to the next stage. Over two days, you’ll develop the skills and knowledge needed to sail a dinghy confidently in light to moderate conditions — without an instructor onboard.

Through a mix of shore-based sessions and plenty of time on the water, you’ll learn how to control speed, improve your tacking and gybing, recover from a capsize safely, and plan short sailing journeys.

After successful completion, you’ll receive the RYA Level 2 certificate, which is widely recognised as the standard required to hire or use club boats independently.
