Dear all,

First a big thank you to all those who attended this year's AGM on the 27th February 2022 or sent their apologies. The whole committee would like to wish everyone a happy year of sailing and socialising at the club. We look forward to making our special place a great place to visit through the year.

Your 2022/23 Committee

We are delighted to confirm that your officers for the upcoming year are:

  • Gareth Farr - Commodore
  • Colin Clasper - Vice-Commodore
  • Alan Southwell - Treasurer
  • Dan Luckett - Secretary

We would like to thank Ian Rhodes-Elson for all his hard work as boat bosun during his tenure on the committee. We are delighted that David Grummit has been elected onto the committee as our new boat bosun.

We would also like to welcome the following members who had been co-opted onto the committee from last year and now formally voted in:

  • Neil Rushden - Power Bosun
  • Steve Portch - Membership Secretary
  • Emma Southwell - Sailing School Representative

The committee are excited to work with you this year! All committee information will be updated on the website and in the clubhouse in due course.

Membership Subscriptions

It's approaching that time of year again where membership will be due for the 2022/23 season. Please lookout for emails from the Sailing Club Manager (SCM) system or from Steve requesting payment of these subs shortly. If you have any queries or questions on membership please don't hesitate to contact Steve on membership@swsc.org.uk.

Next Working Party - Sunday 20th March

The sailing section will hold our next working party this month on Sunday 20th March. As per the working party in January, this will mean no Sunday sailing on this date. Please let Mark Patten, our Site Bosun, know if you plan to attend this event. You can email Mark on bosun@swsc.org.uk or contact him through the Sailing WhatsApp group. There are plenty of jobs to do as we get back into the main sailing season! As before, we plan to start at 10am in the clubhouse and lunch from the galley will be available for volunteers - please ensure you let the galley know if you would like lunch when you arrive.

We look forward to seeing you all soon!

Kind regards,

Your Sailing Committee
