Our Fleet:
Laser/ILCA
We have 5 Laser/ILCA dinghies with the following rigs available:
- 4.7 (ILCA 4) - The ILCA 4 uses a slightly pre-curved lower mast to ensure a balanced helm, combined with a sail area 35% smaller than the ILCA 7. This rig is ideal for the lighter-weight sailor transitioning from the Optimist, typically in the 35-60 kg weight
- Radial (ILCA 6) - The ILCA 6 is the next progression in size. It features a more flexible, slightly shorter lower mast and an 18% smaller sail area than the ILCA 7. Typically suited for sailors weighing between 60-75 kg
- Full (ILCA 7) - The ILCA 7 is versatile enough to be sailed by sailors of various weights in light winds, but as the wind strength increases, it becomes more suitable for heavier sailors, ideally in the range of 75-90 kg.
Laser Pico
We have 1 Laser Pico available. With its smaller sail area and stable hull, it is an excellent choice for beginners and younger sailors, typically in the 30-60 kg weight range. Its user-friendly design makes it easy to handle, even in light winds, while still providing enough excitement as sailors gain experience and confidence. It's a fantastic stepping stone for those looking to progress in the world of sailing.
