Welwyn Garden City Race and Moonlight Sail - 10th Sept

On Saturday 10th September we are looking forward to hosting two of our annual events!

Welwyn Garden City Race

During the afternoon we will have our annual race against one of our partner sailing clubs - Welwyn Garden City. The WGC race has been a regular fixture over the years and celebrates the relationship between our two clubs, both of which share some members.

There will be 2 back-to-back races scheduled after the angling contest (time TBC) with racers vying for positions as well as bragging rights for the club! We will also have a prize for first junior so would encourage any of our younger sailors to get involved.

We hope to have a BBQ in the evening but will confirm this with club management as restrictions are still in place on BBQs across the site. Otherwise we will look to make alternative arrangements.

Moonlight Sail

In the evening we set sail for our annual sail under the moonlight. Setting off as the sun sets, we will have one "race" (although in the past it has been known for paddles to appear on boats!) where we encourage you to dress yourselves and your boat in accordance with this year's theme - Superheroes!

Both events will be supported by a camping weekend. Times TBC in the next few days.
