Sailing Section Commodore - Expressions of Interest

Dear Sailing Section Member,

Gareth Farr, our current commodore, has decided to step down from the role. His personal commitments mean he can no longer give the role the attention he would wish to give it. We are therefore looking for a new commodore to lead our sailing section.

The commodore is the public face of the sailing section and represents the club to sailing section members. They work closely with the sailing section committee in setting the long-term direction of the section, and collaborates with the section management reps and chairs for the other sections to ensure alignment across the club. Alongside taking the chair of the monthly sailing section committee meetings, the commodore drives the calendar of activities, promotes events and presentations, and is available to members and the section committee to coordinate and facilitate section activities.

If you are keen to take on the role, please send your expression of interest to secretary@stewartbywatersportsclub.co.uk (or reply to this email) by Friday the 23th of June. This date is to allow time for either the co-opting of a new commodore at the next section meeting or for an election to be organised.
