Double Handers, Junior Championship, & Moonlight Sail

We have another jam-packed weekend coming up this weekend! Unfortunately Welwyn Garden City Sailing Club have pulled out from the race planned on Saturday, but we have alternative plans that promise to give you your fix of sailing as we roll into September.

Alongside our camping weekend plans, we will be running a fun double handers race and the club junior championship in the afternoon! Squids and Sharks are moving from Friday to Saturday, there will be a BBQ lit for all, and our annual Moonlight Sail to round off the evening! For those with creativity, the theme for boat decoration and fancy dress this year is pop-stars! See below for timings for the day.

12:30 - draw crews for the fun double handers race
13:30 - double handers race start
15:00-17:30 - 2 races back to back for the club junior championship
17:30 squids and sharks session to sail the Moonlight Sail course in daylight, then boat decoration and costume prep
18:00 - Bar open for thirsty parents and members. BBQ lit - bring your own meat (all welcome) 
18:30 - Squids and Sharks in for sausage butties (provided)
19:45 - Start for the Moonlight Sail
