Bart's Bash Instructor Morning - Introduction To Racing
Bart's Bash Introduction To Racing
In addition to the normal instructor morning session, I will also go through an introduction for all of those interested at 10am in preparation for the Bart's Bash event at 11am. Bart's Bash is an event held all over the country at many different sailing clubs in memory of Andrew Simpson, who was one of Britain's top sailors. It would be lovely to see as many people as possible out and sailing during the race.
The introduction to racing session will cover:
- How to find out the race course for the day;
-How a race is started and where you need to be;
-Basic rules;
-Tips on how to do well.
Instructor mornings
New for 2017, we will be running instructor mornings where there will be a designated instructor on hand to assist you from 9.30am to 12.30pm. The instructor will be able to help you with rigging and launching your boat, as well as helping you to select which club boat would be suitable for you if you are unsure or would just like to try something new! This is also a perfect time to ask any questions that you may have about sailing or to ask for advice on what you can do to improve your sailing further.
Both the instructor morning and the use of club boats will be FREE to all members.
The instructor for this Sunday will be Emma
