Sailing
Sailing is a fantastic and diverse sport, with activities to suit everyone from social sailing to day sailing to racing. The RYA (Royal Yachting Association) is the Governing body behind Sailing, Windsurfing & Powerboating.
The RYA provides 2 schemes for small boat sailing:
RYA National Sailing Scheme (Level 1 - 3 plus Advanced Modules 16-hour courses) - £150 per course: This scheme has been designed for adults to help you enjoy whichever aspect of the sport that appeals to you. All the courses in the scheme can be taken in a dinghy, keelboat or multihull so you can have tuition in whatever type of boat you wish.
The RYA Youth Sailing Scheme (Stage 1 - 4 plus Advanced Modules 16-hour courses or done over number of sessions to the total of 16-hours): This scheme has been designed for the youth, to provide an enjoyable and progressive way to learn to sail. Each course provides an opportunity to recognise the individual's achievements.
