A gentle reminder though that the procedures still stand at the club, follow the rules for the section, do not take advantage of your membership you have paid for; guests are guests and do not fall under family membership. Guests are not allowed on site, and will be asked to leave straight away if seen on site. Gate cards are being monitored on activity and if used in an unusual manner will be looked into. Also please follow speed limit (5mph)and upon entering and exiting the site please make sure the gate has closed DO NOT DRIVE STRAIGHT OFF, we can't let tail gaters enter if we don't recognise who is in the vehicle behind. The two boat rule is preferred but at the minimum please make sure someone is on the shore to watch you on the water. Again if sailors are seen out on their own and no one is seen keeping an eye out a polite letter or verbal warning will be sent / given.
Racing is running, but needs people who are in a position to volunteer for duties of RO and Safety. If position's are not filled, racing will simply not go ahead. A clean down procedure is in place at the end of each session and must be done.
Changing rooms and showers still not to be used, so continue to come ready to sail or change by your vehicle.
Lastly if anyone is from the LU areas that are in lockdown restrictions, please do not come to the club until restrictions have been eased. The club is at the moment a safe place and we must keep following what we are doing to keep the club going.
I appreciate this is a big ask, but please take into account that there are still clubs that are not open / back on the water or simply have had to closed down. We have done well to be where we are at and must keep up the good work for us to enjoy such a lovely place.
