The sun may not have been shining but the rain held off and with a light
breeze, conditions for most of the day were perfect for introducing

2010 Open Day

2010 Results Now Available on the Site

With the Fastnet Series well underway, you review your progress on the website on the 2010 Results Page

Can all members check their entries in the age series and advise Nigel Denchfield of any errors. The categories are Junior (Under 18 years), Senior (18 -39 years), Masters (40-54 years), Grandmasters (55 years and over).

Duty List - Now Updated

We’ve updated The edited version of the 2010 duty list available on the website. It now reflects the version you will have received recently in the post, plus a few more recent changes. You can find the duty list by following menus:

Recreational Sailing Starts on Saturday 1st May

Summer has finally arrived! Recreational Sailing starts this coming Saturday and continues every Saturday until the middle of October. Each session starts at 12.30 and ends at 16.30 with support boat cover provided throughout. Bring the family, bring a picnic or barbecue and kick-back and relax at the club.

Sell Your Gear on the Club Website

Members can now sell their boats, gear, clothing and equipment on this website for free. The service was introduced when the site was re-launched and has been a quietly successful. Read the full article for some of the successful trades.

Houghton Cup Results

Fine settled weather bought a weekend of sunshine, spring warmth and very little wind. Conditions which would test both the two race officers and all 22 competitors.

New Section Membership Secretary: Karen Pocock

We are pleased to announce that Karen Pocock has been appointed to the role of Section Membership Secretary. She replaces Kevin Edwins who has looked after many new members over the last 2 years. The committee would like to thank Kevin for his work and wish Karen the best of luck in her new role.

Karen’s appointment begins immediately. The website has been updated with new contact details, however the handbook artwork was sent to the printers before this appointment was made. You can fine the correct contact details on the membership page.

March Working Party - We're ready for Summer.

Sunday 28th March saw the last of the winter working parties in preparation for the Summer Sailing Season which starts on April 4th. A number of tasks were completed and the site is much tidier. In the clubhouse, the curtains are finished and the last few redecoration jobs have been completed.

Icicle Series Results & Finale Weekend

The results have been updated on the website for the Icicle Series.

Sunday 21st March will be the finale to the series and, with 3 races planned, there is all to play for at the top of the table. Races will take place at 11.15 (Race 17), 13.30 (Race 18) and 15.30 (Race 2) and between races 2 and 3 there will be a meeting to discuss in the clubhouse the 2010 racing programme.
