The schedule of racing is as follows: Saturday: Briefing 14.00, Race 1 15.00 Sunday: Race 2: from 11.00am Monday Race 5: from 10.00am Club racing takes place as normal. However, members are advised to check the event notice board in the club house [...] From the beginning of April until the end of September you will be able to get your mid-week sailing fix each Wednesday evening. It all kicks-off on 6th April from 6.15pm. The Galley and bar will be open after sailing for a meal and drink. As usual, Wednesday evenings cannot take place without members giving up their time to provide safety cover and run the racing. A duty sheet will be available on the notice-board from April 3rd. Continue reading this article » Congratulations to Ian Parish who has won this year’s Icicle Series with eight first-places in his final results. In an exciting finale, Kathryn MacRitchie needed to beat Ian in both races in the final weekend to stand a chance of levelling the series on points to win on count-back. However, Ian put in a sterling performance gaining two first places in two ‘different’ streakers. Third-place was taken by Tim Browning & Ruth Ivory in the Kestrel. Fourth place goes to the leading catamaran of Jon Finch. Fifth place to first Junior, Harry Janes. Attention now moves to the Summer Season which starts on April 3rd. |
