The final round of the club championship took place over the weekend of the 28th & 29th September. The breezy & shifting conditions tested everyone over both days and it was to be weekend for the monohulls as the breeze failed to deliver enough excitement for the large Catamaran fleet on Sunday.

It’s been a very busy weekend at the club and the opening two races of our 2013 pursuit racing series. The Pursuit Series results are now available on the website. We’re interested in what you think about Pursuit Racing, so please take part in a short 2 question survey, courtesy of SurveyMonkey
The Saturday recreational session was attended mainly by dry-sailors working on their boats while the wind whipped across the lake. The Ampthill mob and the Bunyans took to the water later on in the session as the clouds broke and the sun came out. In the race-hut, the first of two small working parties made a start on the “Radio Project” which is a significant investment in safety for the sailing section. Look out for more information in the very near future.
We also welcomed a number of new members to the club this weekend and took a potential member afloat for her first taste of sailing. If you want to give sailing a try or find-out about membership at Stewartby, please contact email@example.com and arrange to come along to the club.

The 2013 Icicle series continued on Sunday 3rd March. Turn-out was good in-spite of the Dinghy Show luring members away to Alley Pally. Both races were won by Richard Hargreaves who looks likely to take the series in two week’s time. The results table has been updated.
