The Rockall Series results have been added to the website. http://www.swsc.org.uk/dinghy-racing/racing-results/2010-results/ This weekend saw the first week of the Rockall Series. Sunday’s racing was delayed due to the Sea Cadet event and race programme didn’t follow the usual efficient path. Consequently, the lack of published results may have been a source of frustration. We appologise for this. The results have been passed to Nigel Denchfield for [...] Andrew Gregory reports from the Northampton Phantom Open that took place on the 3rd July. Stewartby Sailing Club hosted the seventh round of the 2010 Laser Home Counties and Eastern region Grand Prix series on Saturday 22nd May. Ten visitors joined four home club entries and all were greeted with a light force 2 to 3 wind with occasional big holes and scorching sunshine. With the Fastnet Series well underway, you review your progress on the website on the 2010 Results Page Can all members check their entries in the age series and advise Nigel Denchfield of any errors. The categories are Junior (Under 18 years), Senior (18 -39 years), Masters (40-54 years), Grandmasters (55 years and over). We’ve updated The edited version of the 2010 duty list available on the website. It now reflects the version you will have received recently in the post, plus a few more recent changes. You can find the duty list by following menus: “Sailing Club” > “Club Duties” or you can jump straight to the list [...] Fine settled weather bought a weekend of sunshine, spring warmth and very little wind. Conditions which would test both the two race officers and all 22 competitors. See the full article for the race report. The race results can be found here. Gerry Howcroft has posted a report on this year’s visit to Milton Keynes Sailing Club on February 7th 2010. Along with Simon Witham, the club was represented by the demonstration Tasar which performed well in a strong field. Photographs courtesy of Milton Keynes Sailing Club are also available. Eight boats took the water in conditions much windier than forecast on Sunday 14th February. It was to be a Phantom 1 & 2 with new member Ian Sullivan taking honours in both races. The course and race management was provided by Karl Pountney and support boat by Tim Browning and Duncan Wilson. Thanks also [...] Seven boats headed out in very cold light wind conditions on Sunday 7th February.
