On September 29th, local bird-watchers were delighted to see the rare Leach Petrel on the lake. The sighting was amid the noise and commotion of the Powerboat Section’s event. However, the bird was seen by 84 ‘twitchers’ one of whom was taken afloat by our duty crew where he managed to get a number of great shots.
