The Icicle Series came to a close on Sunday 18th. Overall the series has seen a good regular cohort of racers turn out come rain, sun, gales, snow or fog. Congratulations to Tim Browning and Ruth Ivory who won the series handsomely, with Bill Strange second and Robert Finch third.
Today’s racing wouldn’t have been possible if it hadn’t been for John Williamson and Peter Billington giving up their day’s sailing and their chance to win points for their final race. Their sacrifice earned them Average points for the day leaving them 5th overall.
The results have now been updated on the website. Helms who did not complete a duty during the icicle series have been excluded and are not shown in the final results table. The summer racing season begins in just two weeks. See you on the water.
