Learning to Sail
The sailing school is an RYA recognised training centre. Learn to sail with RYA qualified instructors who aim to deliver your course to the highest standards and make it an enjoyable and satisfying experience. The 200 acre Stewartby lake is one of the largest stretches of water in the area surrounded by the Marston Vale Forest Park.
The school offers the adult scheme and the junior scheme. One to one tuition is also available as is own boat tuition.
The school has a range of modern boats for tuition and also available for your use during your first year of membership, if you join the club as a member! We can supply you with all the equipment you will need to start sailing. The club has all facilities with showers, changing rooms, wet classrooms, a galley (kitchen) is generally available during the summer months. We even have a bar should you feel like celebrating your new qualification!
In addition to sailing courses we offer RYA Powerboat courses as well.
Our instructors are mostly club members, committed to passing on their enthusiasm and knowledge and to ensuring that your time with us will be truly rewarding. As we are not a commercial centre, although we publish dates for certain courses to help planning, if you cannot find a suitable date please don't hesitate to call us or send an e mail and we will do our best to accommodate you.
If you would like to come to the club to meet some of the sailing school staff and have a look around the facilities you would be more than welcome.
