WP_WINDGURU Results now available on the results pages. The Junior Autumn Mini-Series’s second week took place on a breezy afternoon on Saturday 30th October. The fleet this week stood at 11 which is just great. The racing was close with series leader Joseph Mullen facing strong competition from Phil Ziya and Marcus Finch at times. Race 3′s drama unfolded at the finish [...] The club is looking into the viability of running a mark-laying course at the club for members. The course, which is accredited by the RYA is aimed at race officials that are responsible for laying marks for significant dinghy racing events. It is part of a range of courses designed to ensure that clubs [...] Saturday 23rd October saw week 1 of the Junior Autumn Mini-Series (JAMS) take place in breezy conditions. 8 toppers took to the water for 4 fast and furious races on championship courses. The two sprint races in the morning got everyone warmed up and after a spot of lunch, two longer races had everything [...] At the last minute we have decided to run a mini series for the coaching group. Karl has kindly agreed to run it as an additional series and also act as Race Officer. It will run over 4 weeks with 4 short races each day. 8 needed to qualify. Dates for races. 23/10 – [...] You will remember that in the last Windshift we asked members to vote in respect to a proposed rule change to the club’s sailing instructions regarding long-series entries. We can announce that 35 votes were cast which was 10 short of the number that we’d asked for and that of those votes cast: 16 [...] The results of the 2010 Blackaby Cup and 2010 Championship are available on the website in the results section. The Autumn Series begins on October 24th. In a change to the schedule the committee has arranged for a working party to take place on Sunday November 7th, the day after Bonfire Night. In order to make room racing has been cancelled on that weekend with a new date set for the last week [...] The inaugural Stewartby Phantom Open took place over the weekend of the 2nd/3rd October.
