Milton Keynes SC Icicle Pursuit

Milton Keynes Sailing Club are holding their 2 hour Open Pursuit race on Sunday 6th February. Briefing at 11.30, first boat away at 12 noon. Read on for event poster and further details. Club Location Page Updated

With the completion of the A421 dual-carriageway between the M1 Junction 13 and the Marsh Leys interchange south of Kempston, the location page on the website has been updated with new directions to the club.

When giving directions to the club from either the M1 or A1 we recommend that you direct visitors to the Marston Moretaine junction on the A421. This is by far the simplest exit regardless of the direction of travel.

Autumn Series Week 7

Fresh from their successful Autumn Mini-Series, 10 juniors took to the water on Sunday 12th December in a double-handed challenge. The usual Sunday contingent were looking to pick-up results to qualify for the autumn series with the two races being run back-to-back to allow for the Galley Christmas Buffet.

JAMS Final Weekend

The final week of JAMS racing didn’t start too well. Anyone on the top of Ampthill hill couldn’t see the lake as they approached as all was shrouded in fog. Thankfully things improved as the start time approached and racing went ahead as scheduled. What a days racing we had too!

Autumn Series Week 4

2010 SWSC Virtual Skipper Regatta

The first of this year’s ‘Winter Wednesdays’ took place on the 17th November with the return of the Virtual Skipper Regatta. The competition would begin in earnest after Dinner with newcomers taking an early opportuity to get some practice in. Four heats later and a final, Tim Robins was crowned Virtual Skipper Champion for 2010.
